Courtney grew up in Utah camping in the desert, dirt biking, and competing on her high school and college mountain teams. In March of 2020 she sustained a T7 complete spinal cord injury and turned her sights to adaptive sports and recreation. She worked as an adaptive recreation instructor at the National Ability Center in 2021 where she found her love for the adaptive community.
She currently works for Wasatch Adaptive Sports as a cycling and mountain bike instructor and is a student at Utah Valley University studying Mechanical Engineering. Her favorite way to enjoy the outdoors is through skiing and mountain biking.
